Friday Night Doodle - Tough day at the office

Sweet slippery Satan, it's been a week already?!? Where the hell does the time go?!

Here we are in April, nearly May, and I still have yet to post about my tile work, not to mention my masks. I'll try my hardest to get my ass in gear this week.

It's that time of the week again...Friday Night Doodle!

I've been playing it pretty safe lately, so I decided to shake things up a little bit this week by drawing something out of my comfort zone. I'm not exactly comfortable with anatomy, composition, shading, ect. so I'm going to spend the next couple of Fridays working on my weak spots.

Friday Night Doodle Dump!

Goddamn it's been a while. I apologizes for posting jack shit. However, I do have an excuse. I took a trip up to the United States for about three weeks to deal with some business, and had no way of updating this thing. When I finally got back to Panama, I was completely swamped with commissions (t-shit designs, album art, and a flyer. I'll post some pictures shortly), and I just couldn't muster the energy to post an update.

Well, I finally finished up all of my obligations, and figured it's time to catch up on all of the Friday Night Doodles I've missed. if my math is correct (which it rarely is) I owe you guys five doodles.

Doug TenNapel is one of my heroes, (if you haven't read "Creature Tech" you should change that ASAP) so I drew up a quick Earthworm Jim.

I figured I've been drawing too many dark themed pictures, so to lighten things up a little, I drew a bushbaby...vomiting blood

And finally, some kind of awful cat I drew while half asleep.

I know it's not Friday night anymore, but it's not my fault. We had a black out last night(happens a lot down here in Panama), and unfortunately I have yet to find a way to scan and upload things without power.

Anyway, without further ado, I give you the bear faced boy!

I thought I'd mix things up a little, and draw something without using watercolors or ink washes.

Mini update and the first Friday Night Doodle!

Yesterday I turned 20 years old. I'm no longer a teenage delinquent, now I'm just a plain 'ol menace to society.

I suffer from a pretty bad case of Peter Pan syndrome, so I normally freak out real bad on my birthdays. I decided yesterday I was going to have fun rather than spend the whole day in the fetal position like I have in the past. It paid off, I ended up having a great time. I went to a shooting range, ate fish eyeballs, and watched RoboCop with my family.

As you can see, I am now a mature adult.

Alrighty, now on to the art! I'm going to attempt to draw something new every Friday evening, and post it here (hence the title "Friday Night Doodle"). Don't expect any masterpieces or anything.

Son of a bitch! I apologize for being such a goddamn flake. Here we are two months into 2011, and I haven't posted a single update! I don't even have a good excuse! Well it's time to get my ass in gear, and start regularly updating this thing.

I haven't been up to much, but here's a little update of what I've been doing the last couple of months. At the beginning of the year I caught a bad case of bronchitis, so I was bedbound for a few weeks while hocking up pieces of my organs. After I got over that, I started making devil masks, heavily influenced by local Panamanian masks(I'll upload some photos of them in another blog). I also applied for a booth at the 2011 Spanish Market in New Mexico. Unfortunately, I got rejected. Better luck next year, right?

Well, I hope you guys can forgive me for being a slacker, I've got loads of ideas for new posts, so stay tuned.
